Biography

My love affair with stone began over fifty years ago, and you might say it has shaped my journey through life. I have travelled as far as San Miguel, Mexico and Pietrasanta, Italy to express myself in stone, both trips having a profound effect upon my life and career, and have met many wonderful artists along the way.

I have worked in marbles, alabasters, limestones, granite and slate from around the world, each with their own special challenge.

My works in stone and bronze, whether miniature or large scale, have enhanced many corporate, private and public collections and have been featured by Galleries in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Chicago, Philadelphia and Florida.

I have been delighted to share my love for this exciting medium by teaching students of all ages. My teaching positions, since 1993, have included instructing at the Royal Ontario Museum, Havergal College, The Toronto Botanical Gardens, Aurora Cultural Centre, Varley Art Gallery, The Artists' Garden Cooperative, Relief Carving Workshop, Bracebridge, Southampton Art School, Art Starts, Na-Me-Res, as well as my private Thornhill studio.

I was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario, but have lived in Toronto for the past sixty years. I am the proud mother of three children and have been blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, who are all creative in many ways.
